Netflix Chooses Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. This character has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the source material and cartoon version.
Escola joins a number of recently announced actors set to bring the organization to life, including leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.
Although this character is a important part of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
