The Comedy Series Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale
Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their humorous show about a close-knit group of endearing rogues running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the gang hole up in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

The veterinary adventures are generally good, but this superior period drama proves its worth with tender character work. An especially moving installment intertwines the tales of a lame shire horse and a vanished calf into a more serious storyline centring on the character Tristan, whose actions lead to a brotherly confrontation.
The Hack

It’s been a long road. But the second-to-last episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.
