The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

With numerous of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Several past Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius.
